The President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Luis Alberto Moreno, is arriving in our country on Sunday, 31 July, to meet with local officials and young people. The IDB Representative in Paraguay, Eduardo Almeida, made this announcement at the end of his meeting yesterday with Minister of Finance Santiago Peña Palacios.
The main objective of this two-day visit is to officially launch the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the IDB, to be held from 30 March to 2 April 2017. This international event will be held at the Olympic Committee’s headquarters and will have more than 4,000 attendees.
According to the schedule of activities, Moreno will meet on Sunday with young entrepreneurs to discuss innovation, competitiveness, and youth issues. The official launch of this important event will take place the following day, Monday, 1 August, at the Central Bank of Paraguay.
Almeida also mentioned that the Bank’s President, along with Ministers from the Executive Branch, is expected to visit the area of Chacarita Alta, the Bay of Asunción, and the capital’s downtown area, locations that will be revitalized thanks to the support of this international financial institution.
